"This is a quote with a highlighted word right there."
Of all of Coast's dragonets, Sandbar is considered to be the laziest.
He's actually incredibly intelligent, but has little desire to do much of anything. Sandbar spends most of his time counting, sorting, and trading seashells. He's actually got quite the lucrative business, as he seems to have a knack for finding particularly rare or interesting shells. They allow him to trade for things like food and necessities, so he isn't mooching off of his mother like his brother, Shore.
Sandbar would rather spend his time sleeping or basking, and comes off as disinterested or rude. He does, however, enjoy games. Unbeknownst to most other dragons, he's working on creating a game around the seashells he collects. Something simple enough that dragonets can play, but interesting enough that adults can enjoy, too.

Sandbar's mother, whom he was never particularly affectionate towrads. He loves her, of course, but doesn't seem to know how to show it. Coast doesn't mind.

Sandbar knows that he and his brothers Shroe, Cobia, and Seaside come from the same Sandwing father, but he doesn't know anything about him. Coast was very secretive about him and, although he was alive and well for a time, neither Sandbar nor his brothers had the opporitunity to meet him. As far as Sandbar is concerned, he's entirely unimportant. He may also be dead.

Kingsnake is Coast's second-eldest, and a thorn in Sandbar's side. He's overly affectionate to Sandbar because he knows it annoys him, though he doesn't mean any harm by it. Sandbar just tolerates it.
Shore is a mama's boy, and that annoys the hell out of Sandbar. Their eggs might have been laid close together, with Shore being the elder, but they have little to nothing in common. Sandbar thinks of Shore as a spineless, sand-snorting salamander. The less said about him, the better.
Sandbar took some interest in Cobia and Seaside, as their eggs were laid at the same time, while he was still a dragonet. Although aloof, Sandbar was a decent older brother to the two. He knows Cobia is smarter than he lets on, but doesn't push him.
Seaside's egg hatched a bit late, worring the family. Sandbar was prepared for, and even suggested that, the egg was a dud. However, despite their fears, Seaside did eventually hatch. Sandbar now thinks of it as Seaside taking a bit more time to think his way out of the egg, as the spunky dragonet is quite intelligent, but too rash to get along well with his more reserved nature. Still, he cares about Seaside, and still takes the time to talk to him and Cobia on occassion.
