Described as having the "most unique scales of any SeaWing to date," Princess Ammonite is a bit of an oddity. Her patchy, dull pink scales are strikingly offset by iridecent plates, gills, and silvery horns. She seems to have a long stare, as if she's never quite looking directly at other dragons.
Ammonite has a stilted, awkward way of speaking, as if each thought is clipped short. She's not known for being a fantastic conversationalist, and often remains silent at royal gatherings. She's more chatty amongst her siblings, but even they find her a little strange.
Because of her status, Ammonite is not permitted to leave the Deep Palace until she is at least old enough to challenge her mother for the throne. She doesn't appear to lament her isolation, though.

Ammonite's mother has a tendancy to exclude her from royal proceedings and events, though Ammonite doesn't mind much. The queen sees Ammonite as odd at best, and outright inept at worst. She loves her daughter, but doesn't like giving her space in the limelight. Luckily, Ammonite doesn't mind this, and considers it as her mother doing her a favor. She's not entirely aware that it's because she's "unpresentable" to other dragons, due to her strange behaviors.
Ammonite and Ribbon are from the same clutch of eggs (but are not twins), so they grew up alongside each other. Ribbon is a bit prissier than Ammonite, but seems to understand her sister quite well. They have a close bond that is sometimes made rocky by Ribbon's desire for queendom, and Ammonite's usually-passive nature on royal matters. Ribbon will occasionally make fun of Ammonite's strange qualities, but will also be the first to knock another dragon senseless for doing the same.
Ammonite is fond of Atlantic, not in small part because of his knowledge of marine plants. She enjoys listeing to him talk about the royal gardens, and has taken scroll recommendations from him in the past. She has a tendancy to follow him around when he's at the palace, and luckily, he doesn't seem to mind. Because he doesn't try to run her off, or act weird and uncomfortable around her, she considers them friends. Atlantic is, thus, the only dragon Ammonite considers to be her "friend," outside of her sister, Ribbon.
